Full Arch Dental Implants

What are the Advantages of Full Arch Dental Implants from Beaverton Oral Surgeons?

Full mouth dental implants

If you’re missing a full arch of teeth, or just some teeth, or even have damaged teeth that require extractions, full arch dental implants may be an excellent option for restoration of your smile. Modern dentistry is something that can not only maintain and improve a person’s oral health but also do so in a way that provides an attractive smile. Full arch dental implants can give you back your confidence while keeping your mouth healthier. If you’re looking for treatments for your missing or damaged teeth, we can help! Talk to our friendly and professional staff about our services and whether full arch dental implants are right for you.

Full arch dental implants are similar to dentures, but the treatment offers patients a more permanent solution. The rigidity of full arch dental implants gives patients the ability to eat their favorite foods and speak with the confidence of having a full set of real teeth. They also actively prevent the jawbone from atrophy, where it can change shape and lose mass over time – eventually changing the shape of your mouth.

When you are missing some teeth or all your teeth and your jawbone changes, it can become more difficult to place full arch dental implants as there is less bone to work with. This is why it is so critical to seek treatment or surgery for missing teeth. You can preserve the shape of your mouth while acquiring beautiful new teeth. If you’re interested in full arch dental implants, contact our friendly and professional staff to discuss your options. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the procedure.

What is Full Arch Dental Implants?

Full arch dental implants, as we mentioned earlier, are similar to dentures, but are secured in your mouth through post implants. These posts are implanted in your jawbone creating anchors for the arch to secure to. This treatment gives patients the rigidity of having their original teeth again. Dental implants are not designed to be removed by a patient, but only by a dentist as full arch dental implants are not designed to be removed from your mouth by yourself. The removable dental implants solutions are commonly known as dentures and are a different procedure altogether.

During full arch dental implants treatment, the surgeon will implant four or more posts into the jawbone. In severe cases of jawbone atrophy (if a patient has been missing teeth for a long period of time) a bone graft may be required to build enough bone in the mouth to securely attach the dental implant posts to. Full arch dental implants are akin to a full restoration as your smile will gleam afterward.

If you’re interested in having full arch implants to restore your mouth and smile, contact Beaverton Oral Surgeons. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about the treatment and what full arch dental implants can do for you. Let’s talk!
